As a film, we find The Wizard of Oz to be almost flawless. The music, the drama, the munchkins, the dreamlike trance. We say almost because (we really need to get something off of our chest right now)…no self-respecting girl would wear ruby slippers with a gingham apron. It just wouldn’t happen! Wearing her Kansas duds with those gorgeous heels is akin to showing up at a cocktail party in your little black dress and smelly gym sneakers. It’s simply not plausible!

Phew, it feels good to come clean like that. It’s been bugging us since, well, since the first time we saw the film. What Dorothy needed wasn’t a wizard, it was a makeover. So, we gave her one. Introducing the Women’s Sequin Dorothy Costume, the only look worthy of pure ruby slippers. Can’t you tell how much more confident Dorothy feels in this festive attire? Now, she feels inclined to stay in Oz awhile rather than running immediately back to Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. In fact, if she’d had this dazzling look all along, she may have not felt so lost and out of place to begin with (wardrobe malfunction can really prove distracting).

Everything about the classic look has been upgraded, from the now shiny, satin-trimmed blouse to the sequin gingham apron to the chic sequin hair bow. Procure yourself a pair of the finest ruby slippers, sleek sunglasses, and a trendy tote (baskets are so over) and you’re ready to make an entrance. It’s nice to see you looking all put together. Now where’s a yellow brick road when a gal’s gotta strut? Oh, and we hope you don’t mind, we traded Toto in for a Labradoodle. They’re hypoallergenic.
