Just once, we’d like to go back to the simpler time when we were a baby. Whereas now we’re not supposed to eat bread because it will make us fat, back then gaining weight was, like our only job. We never had to file taxes or take our kids to the orthodontist. No one told us we had too much to drink just because we couldn’t operate a motor vehicle or drink something without spilling it all over ourselves or walk straight. It used to be that when we took our clothes off in public we were applauded and cooed over. If we do that now we have to take a ride with nice mister policeman to somewhere quiet and locked.

We guess adulthood has some advantages. We’d rather eat pork chops than apple mush, that’s for sure. We can do sweet jumps on our dirtbike. And dusting the top of the fridge would be an awful chore if we were two feet tall. But we’d trade all of those things away if it meant we’d never have to be accountable for anything and that we could sleep all the time. (Except for the dirtbike. That thing is sweet. Our wife keeps telling us it’s her or the dirtbike, but she can’t do sweet jumps so it’s hardly a decision at all.)
