If you have ever worn scrubs you’ll know that there are drawbacks. Yeah, sure, they’ve got lots of pockets, come in a variety of colors, and are pretty comfortable. But you’d have to be living under a rock to not have noticed how unflattering and not stylish they are.

Seriously,you’re pretty much a giant pocketed colored crayon when you wear scrubs. We don’t think it’s ever been muttered in the history of nursing: “Oh my gosh, you look so cute in those scrubs!” Note: this is not the same as complimenting scrubs that are cute, but instead saying someone looks cute in them. Now, here’s clearly a reason that all nurses have to wear scrubs ( although we’re racking our brains and can’t come up with any good reason besides practicality… and that they’re disposable). Still, we understand your desire to look cute while patching people up.

Here we have a compromise. Our scrub nurse costume is not scrubs at all (which means it shouldn’t be worn in an actual hospital). Instead it’s a fitted little pencil dress in a classic scrub color. This cute little number hearkens back to the more historical nurses with the little white collar, apron, and hat with a red and white cross. Stethoscope, other medical devices, and license to actually practice nursing not included.
