You know what every is really tired of? Vampires. Yup, vampires are soooooo out. Not only that, but people are pretty tired of werewolves, hockey mask killers, and witches. Don’t even get us started on zombies (seriously, those undead are so over but for some reason they just keep coming back and coming back!). Everyone can do a brooding, boring, black costume. Everyone can look like they’re either in costume or headed to a goth gathering. Enough already! What is with this weird Halloween fascination with things that are scary or gruesome or ghoulish? Oh, that’s the entire point of the holiday? Wrong, friend! The point is candy. Although we’ll concede that yes, Halloween is supposed to be scary sometimes. It’s a fair point. But all the costumes end up looking the same, don’t they?

But you, you’re different. Some people look at costumes the way they are and as why. You look at costumes the way they’ve never been and demand “why not?!” (we’re paraphrasing Robert Kennedy here, but go with us). So what is there to do? Dream big, dear friend. Suit up with something colorful, something fun, something that has pizzaz and character. That’s right, you can be a ferocious lil creature and light up a room with brilliant colors and a brilliant costume. “That’s not particularly scary” someone is sure to say. Well, guess what, troglodyte, it’s not supposed to be scary, it’s supposed to be fun, and it is fun, so take that negative attitude to the haunted house, homeslice. We’ve got a party to take by storm.
