Whenever that goofy song begins that asks what sort of creatures live in deep sea fruit, our immediate reaction is to ask about what other sorts of denizens are down there that don’t get to have their own cartoon show. (Well, admittedly, we have to finish singing the song, first. It’s catchy in that strange, obsessive, uncontrollably forever-in-your-mind sort of way. We’ll avoid using any of the words common to the song, just in case as we don’t want you to feel drowned!)

Among our favorites of the unspoken deep sea heroes is Ohno the Octopus. An adorable little eight-legged red cephalopod, this bugger tends to prefer to stay off screen, comfortably bundled up in his giant hermit-shell decorated fire hydrant, Ohno tends to fold into himself when company visits, hiding in his own little robes and enjoying the peaceful quiet of living so far away from the rather energy driven fruit-dweller.
