I may be a pirate, but I bristle at the thought of a woman losing her heart. Unless it’s over me.
We grew up thinking of Captain Hook as a bumbling dork — a bit full of himself, inept, and always on the verge of getting eaten by a crocodile. Sure, we loved him, but more in the way you’d love a hapless goofball than anything else. If you told us Hook could actually be a total hunk we’d have just laughed at you. That is, of course, until we saw Once Upon a Time.
Let’s face it, fellas, most of us would give our left hand to be half as charming as Colin O’Donoghue’s portrayal of the famed fairy tale swashbuckler. Always ready with the perfect quip, able to get the girl without ever dropping his devil-may-care demeanor, and handsome (and Irish) to boot. Not that we’re no catch ourselves, but come on. Some guys just make it so unfair!
Our officially licensed Hook costume is the just look you need to save Storybrooke from evil (well, eviler things than you, anyway). The jacket, vest, and pants are all high quality reproductions of the wardrobe worn in the show, made from faux leather. Even a morally ambivalent pirate has to think of the animals, right? And since a Captain Hook costume would be a little wanting without it, the ensemble comes complete with a comfortable hand prosthesis.
