Back in the late 60’s, parent groups were getting a little nervous about the perceived amounts of violence in children’s shows such as Space Ghost and The Herculoids. After much pressure, these shows were cancelled and Hanna Barbara went back to the drawing board to try to find a successful kids show without all the objectionable elements that got the other shows cancelled. Their original idea involved a teen music band, but eventually morphed into a teen mystery solving crew.

Of course, they’d eventually add a great dane who was as hungry as he was cowardly to this mystery solving team, and Scooby Doo was born. This ended up becoming one of the most iconic cartoons of all time, and became the costume of choice for many trick-or-treaters for many years to come. You can look around at different costumes, but we think we’ve got one of the best in this Adult Plus Size Scooby Doo Costume.

Our costume is a 100% polyester jumpsuit that zips up in the front. The SD nametag hangs from the collar, just like Scooby’s in the show. The character hood is attached to the jumpsuit. Elastic bands hold the mitts in place on the hands, and bootcovers fasten with Velcro underneath the shoe.
