Where’s the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!

Aliens get a bad rap. After all, can you really blame them for wanting to conquer a distant civilization solely because they’ve got better firepower and no plans for the weekend? We mean, that basically sums up 90% of human history right there. And we haven’t even invented death rays yet!

But of all the aliens of our time, none was more brutal or devious than Marvin the Martian. He didn’t want to steal all our water, or enslave us, or even subject us to weird and uncomfortable experiments. He just wanted to blow us all up. That’s it. Kaboom. Fortunately for us he was no match for Bugs, who after honing his plan-thwarting skills for years on bumbling hunters and devious coyotes had no problem handling a little nerd in a centurion helmet.

Still, good old Marvin didn’t have to blow up our planet just to steal our hearts. And look, he really helped out in Space Jam — as both a martian and a Looney Tune he made the perfect unbiased referee in the basketball game of the century!
